SGrace/MARANELLO KART'S DRIVERS PUT IN GREAT BATTLES IN THE ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND OF SARNO

11/06/2015

Mosca and Colombo, all very quick, have been among the protagonists of the second round of the Italian Championship. The second round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship at the International Circuit Napoli of Sarno witnessed a good overall performance of SGrace/Maranello Kart's drivers in KZ2. Interesting results have been scored by Maranello's color bearers, even if though their final results have been compromised, in some occasions, by the 30s time penalties handed due to a new international rule regarding the nose cones that drop in consequence of a contact, even if incidental. The young promise Tommaso Mosca has also been forced to put in a comeback race as he was handed a 30s penalty in one heat after a great fifth place in the other. Unfortunately, an incident when in P8 stripped Mosca from the chance of scoring a good result early on. Yet another comeback race from the back of the grid allowed Mosca to cross the finish line in P14. A further 30s penalty eventually demoted the Maranello Kart's driver to the 24th position. Despite all of this, in this race he posted the third quickest lap time. Mirko Colombo also put in a recovery in the double final after slipping to the back of the standings at the end of the heats due to a 30s time penalty for the bumper rule in the first heat and due to the missed start in the rain-striken second heat. Forced to the second chance race, from which he managed to earn the access to the final stages, Colombo ended race-1 in P15, and confirmed his performance in race-2 with a P16.
