Maranello Kart put in an overall excellent performance in all categories contesting the sixthround of the Italian ACI Karting Championship at the circuit of Val Vibrata.

Weather conditions made it quite a tricky weekend, but Maranello Kart claimed some good satisfaction as its drivers have been protagonists in this challenging end of August round at the Kartodrome of Val Vibrata in the Abruzzo region. Flavio Sani secured two podiums in KZ2, while Francesco Iacovacci’s debut has been really convincing. Great results were also obtained in KZ3 Under with Michael Dalle Stelle claiming the podium, Andrea Fortuna the win and Alessio Zanotti showing good competitiveness. Good races were run by Mattia Giannini in KZ3 Junior and Paolo Gagliardini who ended on the podium of KZ3 Over. A further podium finish came in Iame X30 Senior with Mario Martucci and in Rotax Max with Andrea Zollino. 

The debut of the Italian driver Francesco Iacovacci in KZ2 has been particularly convincing. He has been very quick since the beginning with Maranello Kart in what has been a preparation toward the CIK-FIA KZ2 International Super Cup to be held in Genk (Belgium) on September 9th. A good result was obtained by Flavio Sani too, who has been very competitive and among the quickest. Sani rounded off his weekend with a double podium and the two third places in the finals were also completed by the fastest lap of Race1. Iacovacci confirmed his speedin Race1 claiming a great P4, result that he could have also improved upon in Race2 if it were not for an unlucky incident with Cunati. Iacovacci’s performance was spot on nevertheless.

Maranello Kart got on the podium in KZ3 Under thanks to Michael Dalle Stelle, who claimed a good P2 in Race1, and with Andrea Fortuna, who won a very difficult second final due to the rain fallen early on. Michael Dalle Stelle was unfortunately handed a 10s time penalty in the second final and he was relegated from P4 to P11.

Alessio Zanotti secured a great result in the first final of KZ3 Under and he just missed the podium by 0.055s. Zanotti was very close to the podium also in Race2, but a 10s time penalty due to the dropped front fairing following a contact pushed him down from P3 to P8. That was a shame as Zanotti was among the quickest, as confirmed by the fastest lap posted in Race1.

In KZ3 Junior Mattia Giannini displayed a good competitiveness in both finals, despite the difficult weather conditions. Giannini ended Race1 in P9, while he recovered well up to P4 in Race2.

A good performance for Maranello Kart was also secured by Paolo Gagliardini in KZ3 Over, who was second in Race1 and sixth in Race2, while Cristian Griggio was ninth in Race1 and eighth in Race2.

In Iame X30 Junior Mattia Simonini had to retire early from Race1, but he managed to complete a good comeback from the back of the grid up to P10 in Race2.

Maranello Kart obtained another podium in X30 Senior as Mario Martucci pulled a great P3 in Race2 after being sixth in Race1.

In Rotax Max Andrea Zollino got on the podium of Race1 in P2, before ending Race2 in fifth position.
